About
Under the direction of Jack T. Baker, with the responsibility to operate, maintain, repair and renew the campus' facilities
and infrastructure. Work is performed using a wide range of methods:
• In-house work force of 300 traditional skilled trades personnel and engineering support staff.
• Service contracts for elevators, chillers (preventive maintenance and overhaul), UPS systems, and generators.
• Trigen-Cinergy Systems, a public/private partnership, is responsible for the operation and renewal of our steam production and distribution system, our high voltage distribution system, and a district chilled water plant (steam driven) for the northern "research" area of campus (17 buildings).
• Bid and on-call contractors for maintenance and construction services.
