The go-live date for Workday Human Capital Management and Finance is Friday, November 15, and training is available now.
Who Should Complete Workday Training?
Training for Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Finance is available to all faculty, staff, and student employees. Workday training is tied to your security role, or what you’re able to see and do within Workday. Everyone’s training will be unique based on their work.
How Do I Know Which Courses to Take?
You can fill out the My Workday Roles and Courses form to receive an email with your Workday security roles and your recommended training courses. All users should take the Introduction to Workday on-demand computer-based training course. This course introduces you to Workday and its core concepts including the worker profile, business processes, and security roles. You will learn how to navigate within Workday, access your information, and complete tasks. If you’re a typical user, this might be the only course to take.
Other users have greater access based on their security roles in the system. For the large majority of these users, you have access to self-enroll in prerequisite and role-specific on-demand computer-based training courses. You can take these courses at any time, at your own pace, and can retake courses as needed. For some security roles, specific business owners might have mandatory requirements for select courses. These business owners will communicate any additional training requirements if they apply to you.
Elevate teams have created a number of resources to help staff prepare for the transition to the new Human Capital Management (HCM) and Finance systems.
