FM Logistical Services helps coordinate University-funded household and laboratory relocations, including local, long-distance and international moves. The team connects customers with contracted moving providers and offers guidance on planning, scheduling, storage and required procedures.

Central Receiving
Central Receiving coordinates the receipt and distribution of deliveries that cannot be sent directly to campus locations because of size or access restrictions. The team supports departments with freight, oversized and specialized shipments, temporary receiving, and delivery coordination.

Specialized Shipping & Freight Services
FM Logistical Services coordinates safe, compliant transportation for shipments that require more than standard parcel delivery, including hazardous materials, freight, oversized equipment and international shipments. The team provides support with packaging, regulatory documentation, carrier coordination, specialized handling and final delivery.
 
Terrapin Trader
The Terrapin Trader is the University of Maryland’s (UMD) ongoing surplus property operation that handles the removal of university-owned equipment via as sales, bids, and auctions. The store is open to UMD departments, other state agencies, faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
