Appreciation & Recognition: Winter Storm Response

Dear FM Team,

Welcome to 2025 and the start of another snow season! I want to take a moment to acknowledge and express my gratitude to the many FM staff members who worked tirelessly in response to Winter Storm Blair, January 5–9.

From preparation to clearing roads and walkways to inspecting and assessing campus conditions, your dedication ensured that our university remained safe and accessible and allowed us to open as soon as possible. Please know that your efficient, coordinated, and collaborative efforts did not go unnoticed and that the critical work you performed under challenging circumstances is very much appreciated.

As we continue to monitor and clean up through the slow melting process, I know the challenges are far from over. With additional weather systems expected, your adaptability and commitment will remain essential in meeting the demands of this snow season.

Starting a new semester highlights once again the vital role you play in keeping our university running smoothly, no matter the season or the weather. Thank you for everything you do to support our campus community.

Here’s to a successful and safe start to the semester!

Sincerely,

Kristy
