New Resources to Help with Paycheck Issues

Dear Colleagues,
July marked the start of the first full fiscal year in our relatively new HR/payroll system, Workday. As with any new system, we understand that this transition may bring some uncertainty or questions. Please know that your HR and payroll representatives are working diligently to support you and ensure everything is processed accurately.
To better assist you and provide a simple way to get help if you notice something concerning in your paycheck, we’ve created two new resources:
Payroll Resource Guide
We’ve created a one-page Payroll Resource Guide to walk you through:
- How to review your pay details in Workday
- Who to contact if you have a pay-related question
- Helpful links and FAQs about the payroll process
Dedicated Email for Specific Paycheck Issues
If you believe there is a problem with your pay—such as a missing paycheck, incorrect amount, or an increase that wasn’t applied—please email payroll-issue@umd.edu. This inbox is monitored closely, and using it will help ensure your concern is routed quickly to the right individuals.
We recognize that navigating pay questions can be confusing, especially during a transition like this. These new tools are designed to give you clarity and support—because your experience matters, and we’re here to help.
