FM’s Mail Service Keeps Campus Connected
Even in the digital age, physical mail remains essential to students, faculty, and staff. Facilities Management’s (FM) Mail Services team ensures the seamless delivery of more than 206,000 letters and packages each month, with that number surpassing 300,000 during peak periods like the start of the fall semester and the holiday season.

NextGen Energy Program
The NextGen Energy Program (NextGen) plays a critical role in ensuring that the University of Maryland can depend on a sustainable energy system for decades to come. NextGen puts UMD on a pathway to achieve the goal of a fossil fuel-free energy system by 2035 and increases efficiency and sustainability.
Warehouse
The FM Logistics Warehouse storeroom stocks approximately 10,000 items and maintains a database of over 30,000 parts for special order. The inventory includes items in the fields of carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, security, and safety devices, among others.
