Thanksgiving Holiday Mail Services
UMD Mail and Distribution Services will operate on a reduced schedule on Nov. 27 and 29 (the day before and after Thanksgiving). Regularly scheduled deliveries will resume on Monday, December 2. Mail will be available for pick up and drop off at the Severn Mail Facility, 5245 Greenbelt Rd., from 8 - 11 a.m. on reduced schedule days. 100 New Trees Planted on Campus
On November 2, the UMD Arboretum, part of Facilities Management (FM), gathered volunteers to plant 40 trees along Fraternity Row.

FM Housekeepers Honored at President’s Luncheon
On September 26, a group of FM housekeepers attended a special luncheon celebration at University House, the home of President Pines. The purpose of the celebration was to honor housekeeping staff nominated for the annual Cintas Custodian of the Year Award. This year, FM had 15 nominees recognized for their outstanding performance, alongside housekeepers from Residential Facilities. President Pines, VP Carlo Colella, and Bob Reuning were among the guests in attendance to applaud these hardworking FM staff members. Congratulations to all!

Bridging the Digital Divide: FM's Computer Literacy Training Program Pilot
As part of Facilities Management's ongoing commitment to supporting the professional growth of its diverse workforce, FM launched a new Computer Literacy Training Program Pilot earlier this month. The pilot, developed in collaboration with the University of Maryland Extension's Tech Extension program, addresses a growing need for basic computer skills among FM staff.
