As we plan for the upcoming winter break, Facilities Management asks for your help in readying our campus buildings. With overnight lows expected to dip below freezing, these actions will help conserve energy, maintain comfortable temperatures inside buildings, and protect building systems, pipes, and equipment.
Please help us by taking the following steps:
- Ensure that all windows are closed and secured.
- Report damaged windows, exterior doors, or other concerns to the Customer Response Center at 301-405-2222.
- Turn off and unplug electronics or equipment that can be left off during the break.
- If you are on campus over the winter break and notice any unusual conditions such as excessive heat, cold, leaks, or flooding, please report them to the Customer Response Center immediately.
