Greetings Team FM,
I am pleased to share that Damesa Bennett will lead FMIT on an interim basis, effective Oct. 1. As Damian Griffie prepares to retire, this interim assignment will provide continuity and leadership support for the team while the search for a permanent leader is underway.
Damesa joined FM in August 2021 and currently serves as Assistant Director, Strategic Initiatives. Many of you may know him through his work with Workday, AssetWorks, and customer service training. His work touches nearly every team in FM, giving him a broad understanding of our operations and the people who make them run. He will continue his Strategic Initiatives work alongside this interim FMIT assignment, so please continue to work with him as you normally would.
In his interim FMIT role, Damesa will help set priorities, address obstacles and connect the team’s work with colleagues across FM. FMIT staff will continue to lead the technical work and bring their expertise to decisions. Together, they will continue to provide the excellent service that FMIT is known for.
I want to express my gratitude to both the outgoing and incoming leaders of our FMIT team. Please join me in thanking Damian for his years of service to FM and wishing him well in retirement, and Damesa for stepping up to support FMIT through this transition.
We all depend on FMIT’s work in some way. I hope you will support Damesa and the entire FMIT team, just as they support the work we do every day.
