Students Return the Week of Aug. 24
Campus is preparing to welcome more than 12,000 students to campus for fall move-in. Please stay alert!
- Expect heavy vehicle & pedestrian traffic.
- Watch for temporary traffic changes.
- Obey no-parking signs; do not leave vehicles in move-in unloading zones.
- Follow UMPD directions near residence halls.
- Be patient with drivers unfamiliar with campus.
Main move in dates: Thursday Aug. 27- Saturday Aug. 29
Reminder: Keep Wheels Off Walkways
As students and staff return to campus, please remember to avoid parking on walkways and roadways unless necessary for urgent work or active loading. When access is needed, keep pedestrian routes clear and move your vehicle to a designated parking space as soon as possible. Together, we can keep campus safe and accessible for everyone. Review the WOW SOP on the FM website.
Digital Accessibility Is Everyone’s Job
Did you know? Federal law and UMD policy require the university to ensure digital content is accessible to people with visual, hearing, physical or cognitive disabilities. That means creating documents, websites and other online content that everyone can navigate, understand and use. If you’re new to digital accessibility, explore UMD’s guidelines and resources or learn how to create accessible digital content with Google’s accessibility guidance.
