Meet Scout, FM’s New Chatbot
FM’s website just got a new digital mascot: Scout! Scout's job is to answer questions about FM, but he's AI-driven and sometimes makes mistakes. He still has a lot to learn and can use your help. To see him in action, visit the FM website and click Ask FM near the lower right corner. Ask him a question and rate his response with a thumbs up 👍 or thumbs down 👎. If an answer is inaccurate or unhelpful, please add a brief comment with your thumbs-down rating. Your feedback will help us provide Scout with better instructions and information.
Meet & Greet with Tom Carroll
Stop by and get to know FM’s new AVP, Tom Carroll! Tom will visit Severn and Wye Oak next week for informal, come-and-go sessions with staff. Light snacks will be provided. Take a few minutes to say hello and connect with Tom and your colleagues.

Health Benefits Open Enrollment Begins Oct. 19
Health Benefits Open Enrollment opens Oct. 19 and closes at 5 p.m. on Nov. 13. This is your annual opportunity to enroll or make changes to your health benefits for the coming year. Visit the UHR Open Enrollment webpage for information on what’s new for 2027, step-by-step enrollment instructions and help accessing the online benefits system, or attend the in-person fair on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. in the Stamp Student Union Grand Ballroom. If you’re keeping your current coverage, no action is needed—except for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), which require annual re-enrollment.
