Deadline Extended - Submit Your Nominations

The deadline for submitting nominations has been extended to February 13! The Division of Administration Annual Awards are presented to division staff members or teams to honor and celebrate outstanding achievements, contributions, and milestones over the course of the previous year. A Thank You from the President

FM's 2025 Merit Award Winners

On Monday, February 9, FM announced its annual Merit Award winners at the Employee Appreciation Luncheon. Learn who won in each of four categories: Bridge Builder, Fresh Skills, Customer Champion, and Powered by People.

Purple Line Testing Begins

Overnight Purple Line train testing begins on campus on select nights starting around Feb. 17.  Expect brief holds (up to 15 minutes) at cross streets as trains move through with police escort, plus overnight closures on Campus Drive (Preinkert to Union), the Lot C1/Lot L connector, and Rossborough Lane (Yale to Diamondback). Some crosswalks and Shuttle-UM routes may be impacted. Plan ahead and use caution. Visit the UMD Purple Line webpage for details.

Two required university trainings are currently open. Both trainings are completed online at your convenience:

Preventing Harassment and Discrimination: Title IX and Clery Act - Due within 45 days of date of assignment. Access via Workday.

Defend Your Shell 2026 (IT Security Awareness) - Due April 3, 2026. Complete training in either English or Spanish.
