Spring 2025 Dates Are Confirmed! Working in Animal Facilities Training

Greetings FM team,

Dates are now confirmed for Spring 2025 Animal Care Facilities Training with sessions planned for March, April, and May. The virtual presentation provides an overview of the university’s animal research enterprise and how actions we take (or don’t take) while working in animal facilities may impact university research, as well as animal care and welfare. Training is presented by UMD veterinarian Dr. Shannon Stutler.

Who should attend?

This course is a requirement for staff whose work may involve animal care facilities but is open to any FM staff member who is interested in attending. If you're new to FM or if you missed last year’s sessions, this course is for you. If you have already attended a session, you do not need to attend.

(Note: Refresher training sessions are being developed for staff who have completed a session of animal facilities training and dates will be announced soon.)

How to enroll:

Advance registration is required. Please visit the training webpage to select a date and register by clicking the associated link. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
