Winter weather emergency, January 26, 2026 - January 27, 2026, UPDATE on 1/26/26 at 2pm
FM team and colleagues,
A snow emergency event continues on Monday, January 26, 2026 and may be in effect for several days. FM staff designated as essential for weather/other are to report as follows:
Landscape Services Night Shift: Report at 6pm on Monday, January 26, 2026 for an expected 12 hour shift ending at 6am on Tuesday, January 27.
Landscape Services Day Shift: Report for duty at 6:00am on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 and enter Snow Command operations in Strike Team organization for an expected 12 hour shift ending at 6:00pm.
ICA essential staff: Report as scheduled per your supervisor's direction.
Building Services Supervisors: report for snow zone assignments at 8:00am on Tuesday, January 27. Please continue to park in campus garages.
OM&U and B&LM Shop weather-essential personnel: report for snow zone assignments at 8:00am on Tuesday, January 27. Please continue to park in campus garages if possible.
FM Essential-Catastrophic Shop personnel: As always, check with appropriate supervisors for assignment.
Based on the current forecast, no additional accumulation is expected but temperatures are very cold. Please follow guidance sent separately on cold weather safety. Supplies will be available at 8am at the Wye Oak Compound.
