Access Protocol for 7401 Baltimore Avenue
Purpose
Establish a protocol for management of entrance methods to the Facilities Management (FM) spaces (3rd and 4th floors) at 7401 Baltimore Avenue.
Blue Diamond Application
For safety and security, this is the university’s preferred access method. Any university employees with the Blue Diamond application may use it to access the FM spaces at 7401 Baltimore if the application is coded to 7401 Baltimore Avenue.
Elevator Swipe Cards
Should any University employee not have access to/not wish to use the Blue Diamond application, they may select an electronic swipe card.
- FM Employees who work in 7401 Baltimore Avenue: Requests are to be submitted to the Office of the Executive Director Facilities Business Operations (FBO), and are to be approved by the Executive Director, FBO.
- FM Employees who don’t work in 7401 Baltimore Avenue: FM employees who don’t work at 7401 Baltimore Avenue are also eligible for a swipe card if they require frequent and regular access to 7401 Baltimore Avenue during the course of their official duties. Their requests should be approved by their respective Executive Director, and then be submitted to FBO using the process described above.
Non-FM University Employees: Non-FM University employees are eligible to obtain a swipe card, either due to their position, or because they require frequent and regular access to 7401 Baltimore Avenue during the course of their official duties (i.e. VP Administration principals and employees). Those requests are to be submitted to the AVP of Facilities Management for approval, and then be submitted to FBO using the process described above.
Elevator Code
The elevator code will be changed on a regular basis. The code is to be used by the FM Senior Team, their Executive Administrative Assistants, and the student employees at the front desk on the 4th floor during the course of official business. The code should not be released for general usage outside this group of FM personnel.
