Campus Creek: Another Step Toward Restoration

A project begun in 2019 takes another big step forward this summer. The restoration of Campus Creek will be extended to Paint Branch Drive. The work shores up the banks along the stream, improves the stream’s flow, better controls stormwater, and will ultimately reduce the level of pollutants that reach the Chesapeake Bay. Already, the earlier phase of restoration has seen the return of fish, toads, and other wildlife to Campus Creek. The final phase will be completed next summer.

"Thank you all very much for making The Clarice truly shine on Maryland Day this year. Our grounds and surrounding area looked fantastic . . ."

Ryan N. Knapp Director of Operations, The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center
