Performance Review and Development (PRD)

FMHR encourages ongoing feedback between supervisors and employees regarding job performance. Both supervisors and employees play a significant role in monitoring and improving performance.

The PRD is the formal tool the University uses to facilitate ongoing interaction, recognize (and document) good performance, and identify(and document)  training and development needs. Feedback is formalized periodically through the PRD process.

PRD training is mandatory for all staff and supervisors. Complete PRD 101 Training available on LinkedIn Learning.

FMHR and UHR also provide additional PRD training opportunities and resources. Please email FMHR Staff Relations at fmstaffrelations@umd.edu or call UHR Staff Relations at 301-405-0001 for additional information about PRD training.
