Residential Student Mail/Package Services

Living on campus? Here’s what you need to know about sending and receiving mail at the University of Maryland.
- Receiving mail and packages: USPS deliveries go through FM Mail Services and are sorted by residence hall. Packages from UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Amazon go directly to your hall and are distributed by Residence Life staff.
- Addressing mail: Use the correct format for your hall (Residence Halls, Leonardtown, or Fraternity Row) to avoid delays.
- Package notifications: You’ll get an email from Residence Life when a package is ready for pickup. USPS does not provide delivery confirmation at the campus level.
