Bin & Dumpster Options
FM Recycling & Waste Management Operations provides bins, toters, and dumpsters for use by campus departments. This page features photos and descriptions of the products we offer. To request recycling services, email recycle@umd.edu. To request a dumpster, initiate a work ticket through the Customer Response Center.
Mini Trash Bin
Black with lid, 1.5L, 6" high x 5" diameter
Provided free of charge to staff & faculty in administrative and academic buildings. Other campus entities can purchase these for $5.23/bin.
Desk-Side Recycling Bin
Blue, 28 quart, 14" long x 10.25" wide x 15" tall

Event Brute Cans
Three types of Brute cans for events:
- Trash/Landfill
- Recycling
- Compost
Hallway Compost Bin
Green, 32-gallon, corrugated plastic, 14" deep x 22" wide, 29" tall
Provided free of charge in the administrative and academic buildings in which the compost collection program has already been implemented
$35.00/bin for purchase, event rental charge of $20 (includes delivery and pick-up of bins, bags, and disposal of compostable material for up to 4 bins)
