FM Logistical Services provides specialized shipping services for departments requiring more than standard parcel delivery. Through qualified service providers and internal logistics expertise, we coordinate the safe packaging, handling, transportation, and delivery of regulated, oversized, high-value, and difficult-to-move equipment.

Whether your shipment requires hazardous materials compliance, freight transportation, or oversized equipment handling, our team will help ensure your shipment is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

All services are billable, please ensure to provide a valid Workday departmental billing source when requesting services. A valid Purchase Order is required for payment of services. Vendor will also accept PCards for payment.

Services Available

Our hazardous materials shipping service supports domestic and international shipments requiring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations.

Not every shipment can be sent through standard parcel carriers. Logistical Services coordinates Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Full Truckload (FTL), and specialized freight services for large or high-value shipments through a contracted 3rd Party Vendor.

Upon arrival to campus, Logistical Services can coordinate:

  • Central Receiving
  • Short Term Warehouse staging
  • Scheduled departmental delivery with Rigging Companies depending on size.
  • Coordination with project managers and contractors
  • Temporary and long term storage is not available at Severn.
